Mayor Marv Teixeira, Mayor of Carson City
Marv Teixeira moved to Nevada in 1961 from San Jose,
California. He retired from IBM in 1987 after 30 years
of service.
He has been involved in numerous community youth
activities including Little League and Babe Ruth
baseball and Pop Warner football. He served on the 1986
Grand Jury for 17 months and this prompted him to run
for Mayor in 1988. He served two previous terms as Mayor
from 1989 to 1996.
