General Catherine Cortez Masto recently held a conference in
Las Vegas to promote practices and provide tools to enable
professionals to prevent and remedy abuse against senior
citizens. Topics covered during the conference included
Medicare/Medicaid fraud; financial exploitation and fraud
against senior citizens; elder abuse in long term care
settings and group homes; investigation and prosecution of
elder abuse; depression, mental illness and substance abuse;
domestic violence and elder abuse; and protecting elders and
their assets.

Cortez Masto announced Bradley D. Buchanan was sentenced to
12 to 32 months suspended sentence, placed on probation and
ordered to pay $5,000 in restitution for Felony Insurance
Fraud.
